Roxas watched from the back as Axel started fading away. It hurt, it hurt somewhere within. Yet there was no tear--the blond could not find it in himself to cry.

But he wanted to.

Still the tears won't come... all he could do was watch silently from his other's view as the colors before him started to fade away along with Axel's body. Roxas didn't know what to do or what to say, of course, he was dumbfounded.

His bestfriend... his partner... his... his... Axel... went through all the trouble just to see him. Him, meaning, Roxas and not Sora. That was worth more than every heart in the universe.

A few last words emitted from the dying red head's mouth as he started to raise his hand for the last time, opening up a black portal before them. A small smile was still plastered on his normal cocky face. As if everything was normal.

Roxas could only feel even more pain on his left chest area as though it pounded heavily... and on impulse, the blond merely placed his hand above the one and only pained spot on his frozen body. His blue eyes closed tightly, no longer wanting to see Axel go.

"You were the only one I ever liked too." Right then and there, after those hushed words were whispered, the tears that earlier refused to show came rolling down the blond's cheeks.

I got this from National Geographic's "Plane Crash Investigations". Iunno, I think it's because of one guy talking about how one person reacts to circumstances that his mind refuses to see. Or something like that. ^^;

I was just imagining how would Roxas react to that of Axel's death... yeah... during the Algebra Exams... @_@; (so I won't be surprised when I fail. ;P) haha.

Then I just had to rapidly draw it before it slips out of meh brain!

i hated this scene, they should so have put roxas in it somewhere, like show it from axels view showing sora turning into roxas. i love the AkuRoku story, this picture pretty much explains why axel shouldnt have died XD

This was my absolute FAVORITE moment in KHII. And as for the picture, I think you should have made it softer. I see you may have tried to do that with the colored circles, but they're more just there than blendy.
